CLIENT OVERVIEW:

JoJo Tanks is the leading water tank and water solutions provider in South Africa.  Providing tanks and filtering solutions to businesses, homes and rural areas with water scarcity and clean drinking water challenges.

REQUEST AND OBJECTIVES:

South Africa was experiencing limited rainfall in 2018, and rural communities were largely affected. At the same time, competitor tanks offering cheaper alternatives to JoJo were entering the market. Having an impact on JoJo’s market leader stance. We were requested to create a campaign that would remind audiences of JoJo’s unwavering commitment to clean water. Remind them of the many water safe moments they have shared with JoJo over the years.

KEY CHALLENGE:

With a limited ATL budget, we needed to reach Urban and rural communities in South Africa and deliver a campaign that would drive interest and uptake, also deliver the company’s new positioning “For Water, For Life”.

SOLUTION:

We ran an online and radio competition that asked audiences to share their JoJo Tanks experiences.

The launch campaign ran in September 2018 – November 2018

Radio: Ran a campaign across 6 Stations focusing on urban areas; KZN, GP & WC, rural EC, Limpopo, National Broadcasters as well as community radio stations.

Social Media: Audiences could enter their stories on Facebook and Twitter and stand a chance to win a 2500Lt JoJo tank.

RESULTS AND SUCCESSES:

More than 3000 submissions on JoJo Tanks’ Social media pages.

10 Winners of the 2500Lt JoJo Tanks – all of which were entering on behalf of communities and organisations in need.

Uptake on JoJo Tanks tank sales grew 2% between November 2018 and January 2019.

Enquiries on other water filtration systems grew by 30% over the same period.
